BIODIVERSITY WOODLAND

Biodiversity means improving the balance of flora and fauna, vertebrates and otherwise and restoring elements of the above which are under threat. The UK Biodiversity Action Plan provides guidance and priorities. Very considerable management is required; it does not just happen, control of predators (usually non native, like muntjac and grey squirrels) will be a feature. Linking wildlife corridors and protecting fragile ecosystems requires a wide variety of tree species laid out as shelterbelts. Privacy and non interference at certain times of the year will be essential.
