Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus)

The Snowberry hedge (symphoricarpos albus) is most commonly grown for its stunning white berries that appear in Autumn months. Easy to maintain and tolerant of most soil types and weather conditions. Snowberry has been planted on sporting estates ever since its introduction from America in 1879. It spreads alarmingly and soon creates a tough thicket of wiry stems. Pheasants in particular love the security it affords.
