Prunus Sargentii (Sargent Cherry)

Prunus Sargentii (Sargent Cherry) - flowering cherry. This Japanese tree is planted in towns because it grows strong and gives a beautiful display of soft pink flowers with young bronze leaves. It's the best of all cherries for its autumn show of scarlet, orange and deep red leaves. This cherry tree needs space but would make an impressive avenue. Ornamental cherries, Prunus Sargentii (Sargent Cherry),  grow best in full sun on moist fertile deep loamy soils.  They will therefore grow well in most garden or parkland positions.  Poor soils should have organic matter added to the backfill during planting. They do not like waterlogged or permanently wet ground. Bare root stock available Oct-April or PRE ORDER NOW and reserve
