Red dogwood Cornus Alba is a deciduous shrub. In the spring they have pretty white flowers in clusters and large leaved deep-green foliage. They are grown more for the colour of their stems in the winter.  Eye catching beautiful coral, deep red stems.  For best stem colouring, cut back new growth to within 5-7cm from the ground in March and mulch with well rotted garden compost around the base.
