Purple Beech Hedging

SPECIAL OFFER Purple Beech hedging (fagus sylvatica purpurea) is grown for its superb foliage and is a beautiful relatively fast growing hedge plant in formal situations. The foliage flushes out bright purple/russet red shades in spring and again after a midsummer trim. Beech is deciduous, but will hold its copper coloured winter leaves. These stay on the plant until pushed off by the new bright growth in spring, making it an alternative to an evergreen hedge. The autumn clipping of the Purple Beech Hedging is essential for the leaf coverage to be retained throughout winter. Suitable for windy sites and suitable for dense windbreak hedge so improving its efficiency as an all year wind break. Our range of Beech plants include (Green Beech-Fagus Sylvatica) (Weeping Green Beech-Fagus Sylvatica Pendula)(Weeping Purple Beech-Fagus Sylvatica Purpurea Pendula) Bare root stock available Oct-April or PRE ORDER NOW and reserve
