Bare root stock available Oct-April or PRE ORDER NOW and reserve Western Hemlock hedging (Tsuga Heterophylla) can be used as hedging or a specimen tree. Biggest Tsuga grows well on all soil types but not chalk. Shade tolerant and with stands heavy rainfalls. Attractive conifer with brown/purple bark, needles are green on top and white underneath. The Western Hemlock can grow at very close spacing in the forest until the ground below is in complete darkness. Best grown mild wet areas.
